Held from 15–18 April 2026 in Gaborone, Botswana, the 4th Pan-African Congress on Autism brought together professionals, researchers, advocates, policymakers, and other stakeholders to advance autism services across Africa. Under the theme “Rooted in Culture, Driven by Science,” the conference highlighted the importance of culturally responsive, evidence-based approaches to autism support, inclusive education, advocacy, and policy development.
The conference provided an opportunity to share knowledge, strengthen professional connections, and reflect on practical ways to improve support and outcomes for autistic individuals and their families across the continent.
The Qualified Applied Behavior Analysis Credentialing Board (QABA) held its first conference in Nigeria in Lagos in 2026, bringing together over 250 participants, including ABA professionals, students, educators, and training providers.
The conference provided a platform for learning, professional networking, and discussions on certification pathways, training, and the development of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) services in Nigeria. It marked an important milestone in expanding professional development opportunities and strengthening the country's ABA community.
Through our outreach activities, we engage with individuals, families, and community members to share knowledge, address misconceptions, and encourage greater acceptance and inclusion of individuals with developmental differences.
